GLASGRID® GG

Improve pavement performance by reducing the effects of shear and tensile stresses that lead to reflective cracking of asphalt overlay and concrete pavements. GlasGrid® is used in new and rejuvenation projects to improve pavement performance. When you need to control crack growth, GlasGrid® GG self adhesive range offers a solution that extends pavement life, improves efficiency and delays interventions.

Its geosynthetic composition consists of glass fibre strands that have been arranged into a grid structure. These in turn are covered and impregnated with a polymer adhesive. The result is an unparalleled system that will improve pavement performance, while delaying interventions thus reducing reactive maintenance costs giving you cash savings.

The unique feature of the GlasGrid® Geogrid, is that as well as being suitable for application on all asphalt and concrete pavements, it can also be used on cracks that have been caused by uneven settlement. The GlasGrid® system can easily be used on joints in concrete pavements therefore providing improved pavement performance.

GG50 - GLASGRID®

8550

For less serious cracking over an entire pavement overlay width, then GG50 would be an ideal solution. With advanced pressure sensitive adhesive backing, you can use GG50 with the knowledge that it too has less than 5% chance of becoming damaged during installation.

Roll size: 150m and 1.5m wide
Grid size: 25mm x 25mm

GG100 - GLASGRID®

GlasGrid GG100 is a high-tensile fiberglass geogrid with an especially high mesh stiffness due to the consistent impregnation of each glass filament with our patented polymer coating in order to protect fiberglass yarns and to reach an effective bonding between asphalt layers. A unique feature is the pressure sensitive adhesive backing of the grid.

Tensile strength: 115 x 115 ± 15 kN/m
Tensile elongation: 2.5% ± 0.5%.
Roll size: 100m x 1.5m
Grid size: 12.5mm x 12.5mm

GG200 - GLASGRID®

ADFORS GlasGrid® GG is a high-tensile fiberglass geogrid with an especially high mesh stiffness due to the consistent impregnation of each glass filament with our patented polymer coating in order to protect fiberglass yarns and to reach an effective bonding between asphalt layers. A unique feature is the pressure sensitive adhesive backing of the grid.

Tensile resistance: (at 2% strain) 95 x 180 ± 20 kN/m.
Roll size: 60m long x 1.5m and also has a pressure sensitive adhesive backing.

GG200 boasts a less than 5% chance of becoming damaged during installation.
